Welcome to CREATA, here we believe in the power of creation bestowed on humanity and manifested in our ability to transform,  improve and direct the course of the present situations in our lives.

Our passion and endeavors are driven by the desire to give disadvantaged communities a platform where they can take part in their regeneration and creation of a better future where respect for the individual is upheld.

Our programs are designed to explore avenues of empowering the Child and more so the girl child, the youth and women in Kenya.

In collaboration with our International and  local partners, we pursue Peace and Governance, Sports based Development, Leadership and integrity and Advocacy.

Our major tool in these pursuits is Sports and Culture. We have curved a niche in using sports as a catalyst in advocating for a reversal of  and seeking solutions to endemic social injustices that are the main causes of violent conflicts that ravage the continent.

Indeed, the efforts have born considerable results in select operating areas. Currently, we are implementing Football for WASH in which we are the main partners providing the football component in both Migori and Nakuru Counties in Kenya.

Abstract
Conflicts arising over land always have very strong socio-economic and emotional involvement and readily escalates into deadly violence.
Likewise any development on a disputed land, whether well intentioned or not, can be very contentious. It is in this respect that this book focuses on how development activities on or about land interact with the land conflict in Mindanao, Phillipines.

The book goes ahead to discuss the development and movement approach that Gawad Kalinga, a local NGO in the Philippines used to restore peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in Mindanao. It was a people's power movement that was transformed into a development framework that continues to inspire the Filipinos to love their country and contribute to its building.

It is through the lense of Gawad Kalinga that the author suggests ways in which similar approach can be used to develop social movements which bring tangible transformation towards peace and development in developing countries like Kenya.
